The “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” Program is a special initiative launched by the Chief Minister of Punjab to provide affordable housing to eligible residents across the province. The program aims to construct 100,000 houses/apartments for low-income families, helping them shift from rented or informal settlements to their own homes.
The initiative will be completed within four and a half years through three execution models. The Punjab Housing & Town Planning Agency is responsible for implementing the program, while the Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering Department (HUD&PHED) serves as its administrative authority.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Family Head: Must be the head of a nucleus family as per NADRA records.
- Permanent Resident of Punjab: Must have a valid CNIC issued in Punjab.
- Land Ownership:
- Own 5 Marla or less in urban areas.
- Own up to 10 Marla in rural areas.
- The land must be solely owned and possessed by the applicant at the time of applying.
- No Criminal Record: Should not have been convicted of anti-state or heinous crimes.
- No Loan Default: Should not be a defaulter of any bank or financial institution.
- NSER Registration: Must be registered with the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) with a PMT score of 60 or less.
